It's important you buy the right lighting for your home giving you a warm and relaxing feeling. When buying lights for your living room, you need to make sure you position the wall lights in the best place so the light doesn't effect your view of the television. These days you have a massive range of wall and ceiling lights to chosse from making it slightly more difficult to pick which style of lighting to choose. In my living room we have two wall lights positioned above the fireplace, the wall lights are only small but still effective and finishes the look. We have a chandilier in the living room which just to say fits regarding size, still it looks nice. The style we where looking at for the living room was a traditional look but still modern which tends to be a nice blend and we decided to run the style throughout the house. We also have a rather large but great looking lamp which helps the light spread through the room giving the overall look a nice balanced feel and warmth.
ADVICE ON YOUR FIREPLACE
We have a lovely fireplave which helps to finish off the final look of the living room making the room look cosy and finished. The fireplace unfortunately was condemed when we asked the plumber to have a look and we couldn't believe the amount of smoke coming out that couldn't be seen which is known as "carbon monoxide". We had the fireplace running for two years before it was condemed, so all that time we where getting headaches and coughs and eventually had it checked, "thank god". The guy who came round said the fireplace or gas fire was deadly and things could of been alot worse if left. The fireplace isn't used now and is simply a feature and nothing more. If you have children it's important you have your gas fire checked out making sure no one comes to any harm as carbon monoxide can kill and even cause long term problems if inhaled over a period of time.
